First Bone carving
I have wanted to try bone carving for ages and as we have a wedding fast approaching I thought it would be a good opportunity to try out this new medium.
I’ve played with jewellery often and have previously carved in tagua nut but never in bone.
A while back I took the opportunity to get hold of some beef bones and cleaned them up ready to carve.
I’m going to do two matching fish hooks as a nod to the Maori tradition but I’m aiming for a slightly different take on it. The idea is to do my favourite heart motif in the fish hook.
