So often these days I see items posted on facebook or tumblr and any number of other sites which are labelled as ‘Custom made’. These same items are then offered for sale to anyone wo wants them.
Please, please, please look up the definition of ‘custom made’, because it is being misused in an attempt to make your wares more attractive. The term ‘custom made’ has it’s meaning in itself, it means ‘made to suit the needs and wishes of a particular customer’. If something is custom made then by definition it already has a buyer because it has been made specifically for them.
By all means call something ‘hand made’ or ‘unique’ or anything else that means it has been designed and made by one person and thet you can only get this particular product from the maker, but please do not misuse the phrase ‘custom made’….
