Hi,
Having now recovered from my initial euphoria at having had a really great shave I felt it might be a good idea to let you know a little about me and about my twin passions, knives and carving. I’ve been carving now for over 40 years in one way or another, that’s if you count butchering some of my Dad’s precious balsa wood with a stanley knife, carving.
I’m responsible for a whole host of wooden roses which are dotted around the country in various houses. I currently don’t have a permanent workshop so all the carving I’m doing at the moment is small pieces which are limited to what i can carry around, hold in my hands and carve using knives and small tools. Most of the knives I use are ones which I have either made or adapted for myself. I like nothing better than to spend ages sharpening and honing a blade and then trying it out on a new piece of wood. I’ve got lots of ideas at the moment and really not enough time or space to do most of them so I’m having to make sure I keep lots of drawings of what I want to do so i’ll get time in the, hopefully, not too distant future.
This is a collection of some of my previous carvings. I’ll add to it as I go along.
